The museum is pleased to offer fans a selection of calendars created by the Atlanta Chapter NRHS. The chapter creates these annually as a fundraiser and appreciates your support.
The photographs in this edition of our calendar are all the work of our longtime member and volunteer Ray Leader. These photographs are from Ray’s many years of railfanning and railroading around the country. The Atlanta Chapter, N.R.H.S. expresses our thanks to Eugenia Leader for sharing her husbands fine photography with us.
Ray Leader was an active Chapter member serving as Chapter vice president, Chapter Board member, chairman of the 1994 NRHS Convention hosted by the Atlanta Chapter and member of the 2007 convention staff. Ray retired from the FAA as a senior traffic controller with over 30 years of service. He was General Manager of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad for over 6 years and served as their senior conductor for 25 years. He loved trains and planes and was an avid photographer. Ray passed away in January of 2021 at the age of 80.
