Get on board with Homeschool Day 2017 at the Southeastern Railway Museum! The museum will be hosting a special event for homeschool families on Thursday, September 28, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Homeschool families will enjoy a special admission price of $7 per person (adults and children). Tickets MUST be purchased in advance and will NOT be available the day of the event at the gate.
This year, our theme is I’ve Been Working on the Railroad. You will join our education conductors as they lead you through 6 stations in the museum to experience a variety of important railroad-related jobs! The program will last 2 hours. Guided by your education conductor, you will receive a lesson, tour the equipment associated with each job, participate in hands-on activities and reenactments, and make your very own themed craft.
After the program is over, you are welcome to explore the museum on your own. If you wish to bring a picnic lunch, outdoor picnic tables and gazebos are available on a first come basis.
Space is limited to the first 120 participants, including adults. Registration will be closed after this limit is reached. Participants MUST pre-register online for this program.
