2019 Model Railroad Days

November 2, 2019 - November 3, 2019

The Southeastern Railway Museum will showcase the Georgia & Tennessee Railroad during their annual Model Railroad Days event from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Nov. 2-3. The superbly detailed HO layout represents railroading in the Southeast during the steam-to-diesel era. It features a multi-level 3.3 scale mile mainline and fully automated operational vignettes designed to capture the imagery of iron ore mining in the early 1950s.

NWGA T-TRAK (N), North Georgia Modurail (HO) and Atlanta Interlocking Model Railroaders (HO) will also be on hand to showcase layouts of multiple scales. These local clubs, comprised of the best modelers from around the area, will operate classic trains and conduct clinics on modeling techniques:

Saturday, Nov. 2:

  • 11 a.m.: Hands-on DCC (Dave Koch)
  • 1 p.m.: Weathering (Tom Davey)
  • 3 p.m.: Hands-on DCC (Dave Koch)
