2024 Summer Camp in Review
“I’ve Been Working On the Railroad.” We learned all about different jobs associated with the rail industry. Included, Games, Crafts, Activities, Tours, Science, and Safety Lessons.
Children 5-12 years old enjoyed the chance to learn about, and see up close, locomotives and railcars from 1960 forward. Campers experienced train rides and a tour of our restoration and repair shop at the museum. They got to see what the museum shop crew was working on and heard from our guest speaker from CSX about train safety.
Camp included train rides and lots of fun with arts and crafts, activities, games, lessons, and more! The camp was held at our Education Center located on-site which includes indoor classrooms, an outdoor classroom, and a picnic area on our 35-acrea museum.
Next summer’s year the museum will offer 2 separate weeks to join in the fun. Plan to register early as space fills up quickly! Camp fees include a camp T-shirt and a daily snack.
