Discover the excitement of railroading at the Southeastern Railway Museum’s fun and enriching 5-day summer camp! Our theme for 2018 is “Riding the Rails”. Young railroaders will learn about different types of rail transportation and transit including trains, monorails, subways, street cars, cable cars, and even roller coasters! Each day, we will focus on a different type of transportation, do related hands-on transportation activities, make crafts, and more. During the program, children will ride both the full-size historic train and the miniature park train.
Our 2018 Summer Railway Camp dates are:
- June 18-22 Registration ends June 8.
- July 23-27 Registration ends July 10.
The fee for summer camp is $195 per child. Discounted early-bird registration begins in February ($170 before May 1). The program repeats for each session (the two camp weeks are the same). Participants may register online (please note there is a separate registration for each session) or by sending a check along with the forms found below. Included in the fee is a T-shirt for every camper.
Summer camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for children ages 4-12. Children must be 4 years old by the first day of camp and no older than 12 by the end of the camp. Campers will split into three different age groups during the program.
