EVENT ONE: CARFIT ASSESSMENTS – Learn why the proper fit in your vehicle is essential for both your safety and the safety of others on the road. This fast, fun, and free 12-point check of how well you fit in your car provides safety recommendations that could make you safer in your car.
EVENT TWO: CARSEAT CHECKS – Three out of four car seats are not used correctly. Having a car seat installed incorrectly could put your child at risk. Keep your child safe by having your car seat inspected by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST). If possible, please bring your vehicle & car seat owners’ manuals to the event. Caregivers are strongly encouraged to bring their children to see how they fit in the car seat. *Please schedule 30 minutes for one child and 60 minutes (two tickets) for two or more children*.
EVENT THREE: Once you’ve completed your CarFit Assessment and/or Carseat Check, check out The Southeastern Railway Museum! There are train rides available and a fantastic railway museum on the property. Admission to the museum/train rides is not included with car safety event.
